The State of the Union Address? Blah Blah Blah... February 1, 2006 07:11AM
The State of the Union Address? Blah!
...If you want to back a real platform, click here. Then tell your congressman to get on the stick or get out....

Having a strong support of George W. Bush, and the war against terrorist aggressors, I have probably given him a pass when others wouldn't. In 2004, at his acceptance speech at the the Republican National Convention, he hinted toward a limited government, including Social Security and Tax Reform. Here we are a year and a half later, listening to a State of the Union address that should have touted a recently passed Tax Reform Bill, and a recently debated or passed Social Security reform bill. Instead, in 2006, we are given the same rhetoric we were given in 2004 which said "I am calling on Congress to make the tax cuts permanent!" We also were asked to be patient while the President forms a committee to discuss Social Security reform. All this while he stated that the Federal Government has an obligation to the elderly and the poor; to provide access to health care.

All I can say to that statement is "WHAT?!?!?!" Since when? What ever happened to the Republican Party? What has happened to the party of fiscal responsibility? I know this question has been asked before, but it needs to be asked again. We are projected, according to this president, to have 60% of the Federal Budget earmarked for entitlement programs by 2030. Are they serious? Really. I have one question for the 535 members of both congressional houses, the Vice President and the President. When are you gonna grow the stones to stop this madness?

This site was put together in hopes to help people become aware of the abuse of the power of the government. I will tell everyone now... Change will never happen in our government unless the people of this country stand up and be heard.

The State of the Union Address last night was appalling. Each and every one of them from here on out will be filled with nothing but rhetoric until We the People start making demands for change. Tax Cuts? How about Tax Reform? How about Social Security Reform. This country is dependant upon foreign oil because of our tax codes. This country ships jobs overseas because of our tax codes. This country can't educate our children because it is not their job to. It is time to tell the 538 elected politicians in our Federal chambers. Shape up or we will ship you out.

People, educate yourself. Read a simple platform for a new direction. Don't leave it up to the politicians. Take action. Stand up. Be heard. Demand Change, or come next January, you will be asking the same questions you are asking today . . . . Why?
